Packing Tips

  • Choose the boxes best to fit your Removal Requirements.
  • Boxes and Packaging:
    • Choose small boxes for moving heavy items
    • Choose small boxes for packing and moving fragile items, such as ornaments and china
    • Use plenty of bubble wrap and newspaper when moving fragile items
    • Choose bin-liners for lighter removal items such as bedding and blankets
    • Choose wardrobe boxes for moving clothing
  • Do not put too many heavy items into a single box!
  • Use larger boxes for lighter items such as soft toys, clothing, shoes
  • Assemble the moving boxes correctly:
    • Find the bottom of the box (will be marked on the correct side)
    • Fold the (slightly) smaller flaps inwards, THEN the larger flaps
    • Tape the box along the middle of the line, and half way up the side. It may be helpful to tape a few times for security.
    • Label the box with the items that it will contain, such as Kitchen
